When I was young(er) my family very seldom sat down to eat breakfast together. But we always followed the Swedish tradition af lighting the "advent candles". The first Sunday of December we would light the first candle (us kids always fighting about who would get the honour), the second Sunday we would light the first and second candle (and again, fight ;) ), and so on. It was a great tradition, all of us sitting in the candle light on these Sunday mornings, talking and being friendly to eachother, waiting for Christmas. I tried to capture this feeling of love and anticipation, and am very happy with the result. So I present to you; Advent.

Wanted to try and make a custom using temporary tattoos and this tattoo stood out to me. The name came from Anna on the MLP Arena it means Winged Moon.  The hairstyle came to me when I couldnt get the hair to lay flat.

These are the fairies from Sleeping Beauty, Flora, Fauna and Merriweather. Sleeping Beauty has always been one of my top favorite Disney movies since I was a little girl. It was a lot of work making these ladies, and a lot of injuries, but it was worth all of it. They are probably my favorite customs I've ever done! The symbols on each of them represent the gifts they gave Princess Aurora when she was a baby. Flora gave her beauty and her symbol is a rose. Fauna gave her the gift of song and her symbol is a songbird with music notes.

Inspiration was Christmas, or rather the pagan way of celebrating Christmas (Yule or Joel in dutch). She has bells and a horn to make noise and ward off the evil spirits. The colors are based on the darker nights and late autumn, hence also the naked tree symbol. She wears a reindeerskull mask as people tended to dress up as animals and resemble the Wild Hunt. The charms on the mask are leaves and on one side an acorn, on the other a eternal knot. I couldn't get all the detail on the photographs.. She has black surrounding her eyes and lower lip that do not show very well. Her creme markings go up her bum as well as up her neck/throat where they fade into dark brown. I will hopefully forget how many layer of paint are on this one.. And how shaky I was doing the eyes! The eyes have four different colors in, brown black, creme, yellow, white and bronze.. eh thats five haha! And I added a crystal shiny
